Ana’s unforgettable birthday. Ana waited excitedly for her 8th birthday. This year, her parents had planned something truly special: a birthday party by the sea. For the occasion, they had rented a charming little house on the beach to spend the weekend with friends and family.

On Friday afternoon, the family arrived at the house. It was a picturesque place, with large windows offering spectacular views of the sea. Ana’s parents, Laura and Pedro, began to prepare everything for the big celebration. Together, they set up a table on the beach and nailed four posts to hang garlands and lights. When they were finished, the setting was magical: the lights shone softly, and the colourful garlands waved in the sea breeze.

One of the mums, Marta, brought a guitar and started playing well-known songs and a group of parents and children joined in the music, singing and dancing around the decorated table. The music and laughter attracted other children who were on the beach. The party grew bigger with new friends joining in the fun. All the children were delighted with the decorations and the party atmosphere.

After dinner, which included delicious sandwiches, lots of snacks, and a big birthday cake decorated with Ana’s name, Pedro suggested that everyone take a walk along the seashore. The excited children ran towards the water. The full moon shone brightly in the sky, reflecting off the calm waves, creating a truly magical setting. The lanterns the children carried looked like a trail of fireflies moving non-stop.

As they walked along the beach, Anna saw a light coming closer and closer. “Look!” she exclaimed, pointing out to sea. A small fishing boat was approaching the shore. The kind fishermen showed them the fish and laughed at the astonished faces of the children and parents. That night, Anna was surprised and excited to understand a little more about life at sea.
Back at the table, no one could stop talking about what they had seen when the unexpected fishing boat came. Laura and Pedro had one last surprise prepared: a small fireworks display. As the rockets rose and exploded in bright colours, Ana closed her eyes and made a wish. Sparks lit up the sky, and the sound of the waves accompanied the show.
Ana, exhausted but happy, curled up in her bed that night, with a smile on her face. “This has been the best birthday ever,” she thought as she closed her eyes and drifted off into sweet dreams. And so, in the quiet little house by the sea, Ana had the most unforgettable birthday of her life, surrounded by love, friendship and the magic of the sea.
